Effective date: August 29, 2026

This policy explains how Teletools Information Services (“Teletools”), based in Ontario, Canada, handles personal information when people call or otherwise use its services.

Information we collect

Depending on the service used, Teletools may collect:

Teletools does not routinely record or retain call audio. Spoken input is processed to recognize what a caller says, and the resulting text may be retained as described below.

How we use information

Teletools uses information to provide requested services, maintain caller accounts and search history, calculate and record usage, process payments, provide support, improve reliability and usefulness, prevent fraud or misuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

Teletools does not sell or rent personal information and does not use it for targeted advertising.

Service providers and information sources

Teletools uses third parties where needed to provide its services. Information sent to a provider is governed by that provider's terms and privacy practices.

A cheque payment may also create financial and correspondence records.

Search history and retention

Searches and related service activity may remain associated with a caller's Teletools account until the caller requests deletion. Teletools may retain information after a deletion request when it is reasonably needed for transactions, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Teletools may retain information that no longer identifies a caller for statistics, service planning, and improvement.

Choices and access

A caller may ask what account information Teletools holds, request a correction, ask to delete eligible search history or account information, or raise a privacy concern. Instructions are available on the Data Requests page.

Teletools may need to verify that the requester controls the relevant telephone number or account before disclosing, changing, or deleting information.

Safeguards

Teletools uses administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and the service. No telephone, internet, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Callers should not provide passwords or verification codes unless a specific service clearly explains why the code is needed and where it will be submitted.

Children

Teletools information services may be used by callers of any age. A caller must be authorized to use any payment method they provide.

Changes to this policy

Teletools may update this policy when its services or practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
